About Hysteric Glamour

What to know. Founded in 1984 by Nobuhiko Kitamura, Hysteric Glamour is one of the labels that defined Japanese streetwear aesthetics long before the current wave. Its signature: graphics borrowed from American rock, photography and pin-up culture, printed on cuts close to US vintage. Long a niche name in Europe, it has become central again through its Supreme collaborations.

Pieces to know. The graphic tees, the label's historic core. The Supreme collaborations, highly sought after. The denim, often underrated, and the nineties and two-thousands pieces that are gaining value.

What we check. On Hysteric Glamour, the label and print quality are decisive: the brand changed its labels a lot across eras, which helps date a piece. We check the label, the screen print and the condition of the cotton, and we photograph the details. See our full authentication process.
