About Saint Michael

What to know. SAINT Mxxxxxx — pronounced Saint Michael — is the project of Yuta Hosokawa, also behind READYMADE. The label builds its vocabulary on religious imagery, seventies rock and reworked American vintage: every piece is designed as an object already worn, already carrying a history. That deliberate patina explains its status, and its prices.

Pieces to know. The tees and long sleeves with crosses and religious graphics, the heart of the label. The collaborations, notably with BAPE and Denim Tears, which go fastest. And the reworked vintage pieces, unique by nature.

What we check. Saint Michael is heavily copied, and the fakes have improved a lot. We check the collar label, the density and hand of the screen print, the quality of the jersey and the consistency of the ageing — a fake almost always wears too evenly.
